What is Challis Chic?

In an effort to be more crafty, thrifty, and to improve and beautify our home, I have started this blog. We'll see how it goes.

My friend started a blog that is basically a "to-do" list for her projects. It is an awesome and smart idea, and it is the inspiration behind this blog. She uses it as a way to catalog various interesting projects she finds on other peoples' blogs.

My plan is to budget so that we can do at least one project/week to make our house beautiful. This will definitely require some creativity and thriftiness. I'm hoping that I can do much more than one project/week, but that may be wishful thinking.

I know that it's not really the new year anymore. But who cares, I can start a new thing any time during the year, really.
